Who we are

CENY (Centro Educativo Español de Nueva York, Inc.) was born in 2009 as a non-profit institution, created by parents who want to strengthen their children's ties with the Spanish language and culture.
Today, almost fifteen years later, we remain faithful to that vision and teach two Spanish language and culture programs:
- The classic Saturday Saturdays is designed for children who already speak Spanish but want to strengthen and expand their vocabulary. It encourages them to think in Spanish in a spontaneous way, as any child living in a Spanish-speaking country would do.
- The "after school" program for P.S. 84 (Lillian Weber)students whowish to learn or improve their Spanish.
We try to maintain the ties that bind us to our culture so that through the game and the academic content that is taught, students are able to communicate naturally in Spanish.

We are proud to be a multicultural community where everyone adds to and enriches the program.
