Children learn best when knowledge is interconnected. We integrate language, culture, science, social studies, art, and other disciplines organized into thematic units. In this way, reading comprehension as well as oral and written expression (including grammar) are addressed as cross-cutting content associated with all areas of learning.

Group Placement

Students are grouped according to their individual abilities, taking into account their psychosocial and developmental characteristics, their level of Spanish-language proficiency, and prior knowledge acquired both at CENY and in their English-language schools. This approach ensures optimal learning outcomes.

Older and more advanced students can enroll in language refinement courses and prepare for the DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) examinations—internationally recognized official certifications granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Ministry of Education of Spain.
